Sharing my laparoscopic journey with one of the coolest surgeon, Dr. Sameer Badami. He is just not the coolest surgeon, but very friendly, professional, and great guide for all his students. “At one might night in January 2020, I developed severe abdominal pain, breathlessness, with perspiration. I want to the emergency room for the treatment. I obtained abdomen and pelvis sonography the next afternoon. Diagnosed with 20 cm abdominal hemorrhagic cyst. I got panicked. At that moment, all I could think about was Dr. Badami, as he is the perfect surgeon one could rely on. I visited him for consultation. I still remembered the way he explained to me the whole treatment procedure. Laparoscopic surgery was done 5 days later of the diagnosis made. I recovered within a week with any post op complications and returned to my normal life and still living it. I recommend Dr. Badami for all the general surgery consultation and the procedures. Dr Sameer Badami is the best laparoscopic surgeon I have ever met.I was diagnosed with multiple gallstones and was suggested to go for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy..the very thought of hospitalisation itself is scary bt docs like him make it easy and comfortable.(he was like don’t worry you are going to be fine and u will have dinner with your family the same day☺️☺️)Medicines can cure bt a good doctor’s inspirational words can give the strength to fight from within. Dr. Sameer Badami, the name was suggested by few good samaritans on Facebook which I had posted as was looking for a doctor who can help sail through for treatment/operation of my mom's gall bladder stone which got diagnosed way back in start of 2020, and subsequently got delayed due to the pandemic in my hometown, Jamshedpur(Tatanagar). Dr. Badami has been the man in the shining armor, who not only got this operation done like buttery smooth, also showing confidence that my mom will walk out of the hospital (Ruby Hall, Wanowarie) post removal via Laparoscopy. I went to Dr. Badami in total agony, after having received incorrect medical advice that led to the worsening of my condition. He diagnosed my symptoms within minutes, and had me go in for emergency surgery for a very distended and infected gallbladder, which is intended to resolve most of the health issues that have been troubling me for the last few years. I should iterate that several other “experts” had told me this surgery was not immediately essential, which was dangerous medical advice, as my gallbladder was about to burst open. Dr. Badami caught it just in time, and has been excellent at follow-up care and availability as well. I developed severe adnominal pain, fever &vomiting. My family doctor asked me to do sonography in which I was diagnosed with swollen gallbladder which apparently ruptured & developed lot of puss in my abdomen. .I visited various surgeons and all advised me to undergo open surgery which gives a big scar on abdomen and takes a long time to recover with prolonged hospitalization. My wife had to undergo Fistulectomy. We were paranoid as it was a complex fistula that had to be removed surgically. Very friendly, very professional, I got lepro done by Dr. Badami last week I have recovered well and , more than treatment, he explained the whole process in a simplified manner which a layman can understand as everyone does not know medical terminology. It was none other than Purnima Madam who introduced me to Sameer Sir in a Cafe. She gives me challenging assignments like these very often. Being an Engineer, I was apprehensive before my rendezvous with a Surgeon. I was flabbergasted to know that Dr. Sameer knew quite a lot about Mechanical Engineering. I felt energised and revitalized with his easy going approach and tongue in cheek way of talking. I genuinely liked his nature, his unfailing sense of wit and his irrepressible sense of humour. Though we were in a Cafe, he received his patients calls without getting upset. Usually, Doctors do not like patients encroaching upon their precious time. But he is an exceptional one.
